Secondary DNS/MX
It is good practise not to have a single point of failure when it comes to your Internet services. Many companies have only one DNS server or mail server, or dual servers but on the same network. But what happens if that network suffers a failure?
By setting a secondary DNS service and/or a secondary mail exchanger (MX) you can ensure that your services will continue to be available even if your primary system fails.
We can setup a secondary mail server that will relay to your primary server so that mail doesn't get bounced back to sender if your primary server fails. Now that e-mail is one of the main communication methods for companies this is a vital service! All mail would be handled by our very own mail server software which we have used for all our ISP clients for the last few years. It comfortably handles high volumes of e-mail every day and is the perfect choice for your redundant spare.
We can also mirror any other internet services you may have to ensure your services continue to run. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
